Art In Japan
TeamLab
TeamLab Planets TOKYO DMM.com, or TeamLab, contains two art gardens and four artwork spaces, forming an art museum. By immersing people into the art, this space breaks the boundary between the body and the art itself. For example, people enter a room with hundreds of orchids hanging from the ceiling. As a person approaches, the orchids closest to the person rises into the air. The mirrored flooring gives the illusion that the floor and ceiling never end.

In another space, technology allows people to capture creatures within wild areas, to learn more about them. They call this “Catching and Collecting Forest”.

And, like a set from a future Aliens movie, another room contains metal eggs that reflect surroundings, which change throughout the day.

Evaporating Street Art
Just for the fun of it, a man uses a brush and a water bucket to paint the walkways. These pieces of art do not last long.

Plane Ol’ Art
I like the airplane on the front of this store.

Monkeys
This screen had some nice monkey art on it.
