Bondi Beach

Bondi Beach. The name comes from the Dharawal language, translating to “thud”, relating to the noises of waves hitting the rocks.

Here we are, enjoying a sunny day at the beach.

Deep Water

A serial killer preyed on gay men around this beach in the 80s. It’s thought that 70+ murders took place. A good miniseries called Deep Water chronicled the work of investigators on the still-unsolved case. Yael Stone stars in the series and does not have to pull off an Italian-American accent as she did for Orange Is The New Black, as Lorna Morello.

Speedo Cafe

The Netflix docuseries Somebody Feed Phil follows Phil Rosenthal (creator of the television series Everybody Loves Raymond) around the globe as he samples foods, explores places and highlights charities. In episode five of season eight, Phil visited Australia. He enjoyed breakfast at Speedo Café, situated above the beach with a spectacular view. Called the world’s most Instagrammable cafe, we had to contribute to the hype with our own pic. The cafe’s decor celebrates swimming, particularly the racing suit from the Australian company Speedo. Yes, that’s a boomerang as the logo.

Look at the line, though! We decided to skip eating a meal there.
