Some Food In Japan
Eating And Drinking
NOPE
Tired of hearing claims that highly-sweetened and caffinated drinks are unhealthy, Suntory released Guilty Carbonated NOPE. According to the label, The flavor comes from a blend of “99 Enchanting Fruits & Spices”. You get 600ml instead of the normally-available 500ml bottling. No one can agree on what it tastes like, with a combination of sweet, sour, bitter, salty and umami notes.

Fast Food
KFC
I didn’t go in, but many of the KFC locations have the Colonel standing out front.

Nene Chicken
This place was pretty amazing. You want something spicy? Nene Chicken (Korean: 네네치킨) has what you want. Look at the red pepper coating this crispy chicken!

Coffee Shops
Hand Drip Coffee

Some Super-sweet Drink
This was too much for me. I do not even remember the flavor, but they somehow concentrated sugar, or something.

Sakura Festival
We happened upon the Sakura Festival, which celebrates the cherry blossom blooming. In Ueno, vendors set up booths and people jump from spot to spot, sampling food and drink.
Mexican Food
Carnitas tacos have made it to Japan! They also had a sign that read, “We have tequila,” so you know it’s legit.

Angry Face
Good advertising to use such an angry-looking chef?

Kahlua
The Japanese put matcha in everything!

Cheers
Bob
Bob and I clinked glasses.

Dinosaurs
This place had a funny dinosaur sign.

In another spot, they had a sign that read:
Alcohol may be man’s worst enemy but the bible says to love your enemy.
Amen.
