Back in January 2010, Anjali and I stayed two nights in Stellenbosch, at a place called Sylvan Vale Vineyards. The wine country, all of the little towns and rolling hills, remains one of the most scenic drives I have ever experienced.

Sylvan Value Part Deux

It took us a bit of time to find the place Anjali and I had stayed at sixteen years prior, but worth it. We enjoyed the grounds and a very nice wine tasting. Fun to show our good friends and neighbors a spot we had visited many years ago.

Sculpture Garden

We visited the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden. Cool, but hot. Very, very hot. We must have picked the record-high-temp day to walk around in the sun, looking at art.

Neethlingshof

To cool off, the four of us visited Neethlingshof Estate Wine. Established in 1692, this place knows a thing or two because it’s seen a thing or two. Wait, wrong industry. This place knows how to make wine.
