Clan Campbell

I hear that I’m a descendant of Lord and Lady Campbell. Not an ancestry buff, I just believe this without tracing any lineage. That stated, the castle cafe would not give me a free bowl of soup.

Inveraray Castle

The chiefs of Clan Campbell resided at Inveraray Castle. We visited. The drive there from Glasgow was quite beautiful, though the rains arrived during the short trip.

David Stirling Statue

We spotted this statue on the side of the “highway”. Really, more like just off from a two-lane-ish roadway. The statue is of David Stirling, who founded the Special Air Service.

Crocs

I mentioned the rain. That rain kept us from visiting Stirling Castle and a couple of other places. So, we had lunch at River House. Approaching the entrance, we saw this warning, to look out for crocodiles. Oh, there they are!
