Based on a photograph, artist Dmitri Vrubel painted the iconic mural My God, Help Me To Survive This Deadly Love, depicting an embrace between The Soviet and East German leaders, Leonid Brezhnev and Erich Honecker. This embrace, the socialist fraternal kiss, shocked and amused western journalists then-unfamiliar with the tradition.

Make Everything Great Again

Street art with the caption make everything great again appeared on a BBQ restaurant in Lithuania, in 2016. The restaurant closed in 2019 and the mural painted over.
