White Horse Hill

Uffington White Horse, also known as [White Horse Hill][uwh], sits not far from the Cotswolds, in Oxfordshire. At some point in the distant past, thought to have started around 3,000 years ago, people scoured the hillside of vegetation to reveal the chalk below, in the shape of a horse. These days, volunteers add fresh chalk and trim grass to maintain the horse’s definition.
The only way to clearly see the horse is from the air, unfortunately.
